Pump spray air fresheners were invented and perfected in the very early 80's. This non-aeosol version of spray air fresheners went over very big and was extrememly popular with the air freshenening public. The unit consisted of a 2 ounce PETE type cylinder bottle, a finger type pump sprayer and a special non-alcohol blend of liquid air fresheners. Since that time - pump spray and spray air fresheners are still being sold and used throughout the world and are as popular today as they were back then.
